About Tracy
My name is Tracy, and I'm 27 years old. I was born and raised in the Chicago area, moved after college to Indianapolis and recently returned to Chicago. I live with my "dog-child," a rescued schnauzer-poodle named Juno.
After experiencing chronic pain since I was 11 years old, I was diagnosed in December 2014 with endometriosis - a painful and oftentimes debilitating condition that affects the female reproductive system. As of right now, there is no cure. I realized that few people are aware of this disorder, and I personally didn't know anyone who could share my experience. So I created this blog to talk about my journey and connect with others who suffer from this awful condition. To learn more about endo, click here.
Professionally, I manage public relations for a non-profit organization, which means I help get its message out through press releases, editorials, interviews, social media and other assorted means of communication. I love my job, and my coworkers have been incredible as I sort out my health issues.
My other interests include performing live music, rock climbing, going to art shows and museums,
reading books way too slowly, petting dogs, volunteering and taking marathon naps. I hope that you find something in this blog that resonates with you, whether you suffer from endo or not.
